Colds and Soup

Hello everyone,
Well I am finally starting to feel a little bit better. Harliegh and I got a pretty nasty cold and we have both been pretty miserable all weekend. I was planning on attempting a workout today but I was up a lot last night with Harliegh who was coughing horribly, so I might take a nap instead. We will just have to see how I feel. As far as diet goes I have been living off of soup and orange juice so I am pretty sure I have been way below my calorie count. I am going to slowly get back on my health plan but I don't think I will hit it hard again until next week.
I have had people recently comment on how thin I am getting. So I am actually getting visible results finally. SO WOOHOO! That is very exciting for me!
I made a super easy and yummy Black Bean Soup last night. It was so good and I don't think it was high in calories or fat, but of course I have no idea what the counts are. But here is the recipe:

Black Bean Soup

1 medium onion, chopped
4 cloves garlic chopped
3 15oz cans of black beans
1/2 tsp crushed red pepper
1 tsp cumin
1 can chicken broth
1 10 oz can rotel
11 oz canned corn

Saute onion and garlic in a oil. Blend a can or two of black beans (depending on how thick you want the soup) Add all the rest of the ingredients and mix together. Heat through and serve.

It kind of has a slight Chili flavor. YUM.

  1. Try to rest as much as possible, and wait to get back to everything once you're not sick anymore. It's better in the long run than suffering and injury. :)
