I did it!
I got up and ran this morning. I didn't do the c25K routine because I wanted to just see how much I could do non-stop, to kinda figure out where I was. I got up stretched, did a few jumping jacks to get my heart rate up and started running down the cul-de-sac by my house. I ran the whole thing and back again. It turned out to be 4 minutes and 20 seconds. Which doesn't sound like much but my calves were sore from doing Jillian yesterday. After running, I started walking and honestly, after a minute of walking I felt like I could run again. Maybe I should have, but I really just wanted today to be a practice run. It felt pretty good to run though, minus the feeling that all my neighbors were watching me out their windows. I also realized I need to invest in a new sports bra. LOL.
I also forgot that this was the week when I was going to attempt working out for an hour a day. Well...when I start the C25k routine on Wednesday, that will be 20-30 minutes, plus Jillian Level one...which is another 30 (including warm-up and cool down) That is an hour on MWF. So on TTH I will try Jillian Level 2, walking and yoga. I know walking and yoga is not really supposed to count...but...baby steps, right?
This is also my 100th blog post! YAY! Now I am going to go stretch out my calves and make a smoothie.YUM
